Lake Whitney Veterans Center of Resources (VCR) was created to ensure veterans have access to the resources they need.

The Beginning
VCR was founded by individuals who recognized the need for a dedicated resource hub for veterans. Their vision was to create a place where every veteran could find support beyond traditional channels.

Expanding Resources
As demand grew, VCR expanded its arsenal of resources, adding food, clothing, and bill assistance. This marked the start of a broader mission to meet veterans’ everyday needs.

Housing Partnerships
Through collaboration with Endeavors, VCR began offering housing assistance, ensuring veterans had access to safe and affordable living options. This partnership became a cornerstone of our services.

Emotional Support Programs
Recognizing the importance of mental and emotional well‑being, VCR trained volunteers to provide listening, encouragement, and respect. This initiative strengthened our role as a compassionate community.

A Growing Mission
Today, VCR continues to expand its reach, connecting veterans with local, state, and national resources. Our mission remains clear: no veteran should face life’s challenges alone.

Office & Retail Space
In June we negotiated and executed a contract for office/retail space.

Grand Opening
We had our 'Grand Opening' July 4.
